As I write this, we are under a winter warning-AGAIN!! I lost count with how many we've had (at least 5 I think). This pic is from the "big" snow we had on Jan. 10. Yes, you read it correctly. It says 8 inches. We had anywhere from 8-10 inches in the yard. Yes we still live in Alabama (upper AL to be exact). When my hubby moved us here last year...I did not expect this.
That's our neighbor across the street on day 2. He used a milk crate to scrape the snow. Did you know they don't even sell snow shovels down here? I heard they started stocking them after this storm. John used a hand-truck to clear our so he could go to work Wed. And no, the roads were not plowed and salted. Fun times.
As you can see the street took a while to melt.
Here's a video of Aidan making a snow angel.
Probably only one ever made.
When Aidan returned to school on Jan. 18, he had been home 10 days in a row. He also now had no more holidays (as if Presidents' Day is a real holiday) and no room at the end of the year to add. We lucked out with the next few-only the grass was covered, no road headaches.
If we make it through this round, they predict 60's for the weekend. Really-spring weather? I dare not to dream. So glad I moved down south to avoid winter. Maybe global warming isn't true after all-but wait. Wasn't it 110 every day last summer? Guess that's why I'm an indoor kind of girl. But ya'll already knew that.

I'm pretty sure winter comes to bite you no matter where you are in some fashion or another. Hope you're staying warm. Can't wait to see you guys this week!
